Device Selection

Choose audio and video devices before you join.

Available Selections

Guests can choose:

Camera (if more than one is available)
Microphone input
Speaker output

Each device appears by its real name (for example, “MacBook Pro Microphone”). Before you grant access, devices show a friendly placeholder such as “Microphone 1” — never a technical code.

Device Status

Each device shows its own, independent status:

Ready — access is granted and the device is working
Blocked — access was denied for that device (allow it in your browser to fix)
In use — another app is holding the device
Not yet tested — for speakers, until you run the speaker test

Changing one device never affects another device’s status — for example, turning your camera off does not change your microphone’s status.

Switching Devices

Selecting a different camera or microphone takes effect immediately, including switching your camera while the preview is live.
The camera on/off toggle responds instantly, even when tapped quickly, and always settles in the state you last chose.

Saving Preferences

Selections are:

Saved in your browser
Restored on your next visit
Changeable anytime
