Chat Feature
Section titled “Chat Feature”Use the chat panel during meetings to send text messages, share information, and interact with the AI alongside your voice conversation.
Sending Messages
Section titled “Sending Messages”- Click the chat icon in the meeting controls
- Type your message in the text field
- Press Enter to send (Shift+Enter for a new line)
Messages appear instantly in the chat panel for both you and the AI.
How the AI Handles Chat
Section titled “How the AI Handles Chat”The AI reads your chat messages and incorporates them into the conversation:
- Chat messages are picked up at the AI’s next natural speaking turn
- The AI does not interrupt itself to read a chat — it waits for a pause
- You can use chat to share information that’s easier to type than say (email addresses, URLs, phone numbers)
Sharing Information
Section titled “Sharing Information”Chat is ideal for sharing details the AI can capture accurately:
- Email addresses — type your email instead of spelling it out loud
- Phone numbers — easier to type than dictate
- URLs — share links to resources or pages
- Names and spellings — ensure correct spelling of names or companies
Information shared via chat is automatically extracted and included in the meeting record.
Scheduling Links
Section titled “Scheduling Links”If the host has configured a scheduling link, the AI can share it in the chat during the conversation. This lets guests book a follow-up meeting with a human directly from the chat panel.
Chat in Transcripts
Section titled “Chat in Transcripts”All chat messages are included in the meeting transcript with a [Chat] prefix, so the host can see everything that was discussed — both spoken and typed.
Chat History
Section titled “Chat History”- Chat messages persist for the duration of the meeting
- All messages are saved as part of the meeting record
- The host can review chat messages on the meeting detail page
