Onboarding Overview
Section titled “Onboarding Overview”Getting started with your BuzzTrail account.
Onboarding Flow
Section titled “Onboarding Flow”Signup takes just three quick steps:
- Choose your avatar
- Choose your sales framework
- Create your account with a work email
After completing these steps, you land in Configuration, where you can manage your knowledge sources, integrations, billing, embed, and personal link.
Finishing Setup
Section titled “Finishing Setup”From there, the Agent Setup Checklist guides you through the rest. It’s a 5-step checklist — create your agent, connect integrations, add knowledge, set up billing, and add your agent to your website — that tracks your progress and points you to your next step. It appears as a pill in the left sidebar and as a widget on your Dashboard, and disappears once all five steps are done.

Work Email Requirement
Section titled “Work Email Requirement”BuzzTrail requires a work email address to sign up. Personal email domains (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, AOL, etc.) are not accepted. This ensures your AI avatar is associated with your company and enables automatic knowledge setup (see below).
Automatic Setup
Section titled “Automatic Setup”Once you sign up, BuzzTrail automatically handles several setup tasks behind the scenes:
- Domain detection - Your email domain is extracted and used to identify your company website
- Knowledge crawling - Your company website is added as a knowledge source and crawled for content (product pages, about pages, FAQs, etc.)
- AI prompt generation - Once crawling completes, an AI prompt is auto-generated from your website content, giving your avatar product knowledge
- Personal link creation - Your unique meeting URL is created and ready to share
- Follow-up email configuration - Post-meeting follow-up emails are configured with your company context
Most users have a working AI avatar within minutes of completing signup. The crawling and prompt generation happen in the background — you can start adding more knowledge sources or configuring your personal link while it processes.

- 5-10 minutes total
- Can pause and resume
