Status Indicators
Section titled “Status Indicators”Connected
Section titled “Connected”Green indicator shows:
- Avatar is active
- Ready to converse
- All systems working
Thinking
Section titled “Thinking”Brief pause while:
- Processing response
- Formulating answer
- Natural conversation pace
Speaking
Section titled “Speaking”Indicator shows when:
- Avatar is talking
- Audio is playing
- Mouth animation active
Listening
Section titled “Listening”Shows when:
- Waiting for guest
- Processing speech
- Ready for input
Looking at your screen
Section titled “Looking at your screen”Shows while the AI is reviewing a shared screen:
- Appears when the guest shares their screen and the AI takes a look
- Stays up until the AI has an answer to give
- Takes a few seconds — the indicator is there so a normal pause isn’t mistaken for a problem
If the review runs longer than usual, the AI also says out loud that it’s still looking, so the guest is never left in silence. See Visual Analysis.
Status Issues

Section titled “Reconnecting”Yellow indicator means:
- Temporary disruption
- Auto-reconnect in progress
- Usually resolves quickly
Disconnected
Section titled “Disconnected”Red indicator means:
- Connection lost
- Meeting may have ended
- Refresh might help
Join Delay Warnings
Section titled “Join Delay Warnings”Sometimes the AI avatar is slow to join, or does not join at all. When this happens the delay is on our side, not the guest’s. The guest is already fully connected to the meeting by the time any of these messages appear — that is precisely the condition that triggers them. Nothing about the guest’s internet, browser, or device causes this, and there is nothing for them to fix.
The messages escalate through four stages:
Slow to join (15 seconds)
Section titled “Slow to join (15 seconds)”A message appears explaining that we are taking longer than usual to bring the avatar in. The guest does not need to do anything.
Extended delay (45 seconds)
Section titled “Extended delay (45 seconds)”The message confirms the avatar still has not joined and that the delay is ours. Where a scheduling link is configured, the guest is offered the option to book time with a team member instead.
Not joining (90 seconds)
Section titled “Not joining (90 seconds)”The meeting moves to an explicit failure state: something went wrong on our side and the avatar never joined. The guest can end the meeting, retry shortly, or take the scheduling option where offered.
Automatic exit (150 seconds)
Section titled “Automatic exit (150 seconds)”If the guest takes no action, the meeting ends itself rather than leaving them in an empty room.
Any of these warnings clears automatically if the avatar joins.
