Knowledge Sources
Knowledge Sources
Section titled “Knowledge Sources”Knowledge sources are the information your AI avatar draws on during meetings. The more relevant content you provide, the more knowledgeable and helpful your avatar becomes.
Source Types
Section titled “Source Types”Websites
Section titled “Websites”Add your website URLs and the AI will index the pages automatically:
- Enter a domain or specific page URL
- The AI crawls and indexes the content
- Great for product pages, about us, FAQs, and blog posts
How website crawling works:
- Add a URL in Settings → Knowledge
- The system visits the page and extracts its content
- Processing typically takes up to 24 hours
- Once indexed, the content is available for your AI to reference
Status indicators:
- Pending — queued for indexing
- Indexing — currently being processed
- Indexed — content is ready and available
- Failed — couldn’t be indexed (you can retry after 24 hours)
You can toggle individual sources on or off without removing them, controlling which content the AI can access.
Documents
Section titled “Documents”Upload files for your AI to learn from:
- PDFs, HTML pages, and plain text files
- See File Upload for details on uploading
Transcripts
Section titled “Transcripts”Include past meeting transcripts as training material:
- Upload in VTT, SRT, or TXT format
- The AI learns your conversation style and common topics
- Select your best meetings as examples
How Sources Work Together
Section titled “How Sources Work Together”Your AI avatar combines information from all active sources during meetings:
- Websites provide up-to-date product and company information
- Documents give detailed reference material (specs, pricing, case studies)
- Transcripts help the AI match your conversational tone and common responses
The AI blends these sources naturally — it doesn’t cite them explicitly, but draws on the information to give well-informed answers.
Managing Sources
Section titled “Managing Sources”In Settings → Knowledge, you can:
- View all added sources and their status
- Toggle sources on or off (disabled sources aren’t used in meetings)
